My objective in this edit was to represent my fear of speaking in public, which was a significant part of my past. In the edit, a man gets ready to perform in front of a large crowd. He is fumbling with his microphone stand and when he finally addresses the public, people continue to talk and disregard his presence. He begins tuning out the room’s sound, becoming more aware of his heartbeat and breathing. The stress of the moment gradually increases and, at one point, becomes so overwhelming that it flatlines. This edit serves as a representation of my own insecurities when speaking publicly and shows how it can sometimes be overly stressful.
